About Us

Lakes Logs is lucky enough to be based just outside Kendal, nestled between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. We only use hard wood which we get from our local forestry contractors and tree surgeons. The trees are by-products of their work and managed forestry schemes. We do not buy in timber from abroad for sale but use local wood that we source. That means the wood you buy is 100% locally sourced and sustainable.

All the hardwood we sell is certified through the Ready to Burn scheme. This ensures the moisture content of every log leaving our yard is less than 20%, but we do aim for a moisture content of less than 15%.
